Daily Silver News: April 14 – Silver Price Retraces More of Its Declines

Silver breaks above $32, extending its rebound; tariff news in focus.

The silver futures contract gained 3.74% on Friday, April 11, as it extended its rebound on a new record in gold prices. Last Monday, it rebounded from a new local low of $27.55, and on Friday, it traded along the $32 level. On March 28, silver reached the highest since 2012, however, remaining relatively weaker than gold.

Today, silver continues its rebound, as we can see on the daily chart (the chart includes today’s intraday data):

The silver price is 1.0% higher, as it is trading above the $32 level. What about the other precious metals? Gold is 0.4% lower, platinum is 0.9% higher and palladium is 1.9% higher. So, the main precious metals’ prices are mixed this morning.

The PPI release on Friday has been lower than expected at -0.4% month-over-month. Today, we will get speeches from the FOMC Members.
